The Nigerian music industry has experienced an extreme revolution from the days of fuji music artistes to afro pop, reggae, hip hop such as rugged man, tony tetuila, king sunny ade, charley boy, oyenka onwenu, fela kuti and many others but a lot of things have changed with the new generation of artists bringing new beats, new styles and a lot of trend to their music.
Questions have been raised as to who is the current King and Queen of the Nigerian music industry, some say, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Niniola, but even Tiwa Savage had a different choice of Queens and she exalted Simi, Niniola and Dija as her favorites.
For the Kings, the draw was between Davido and his beef partner Whizkid but Olamide once said,” Everybody na King for their own lane”. Quite true and no one has been able to maintain the throne and crown consistently as the King or Queen.
